#iLAB PRIMEIRA INFÂNCIA
There are still many challenges that restrain Brazilian children from developing to their full potential. Given the importance of early childhood (0-6 years of age), we partnered with the Science for Childhood Group (Núcleo Ciência pela Infância or NCPI), with the objective of strengthening a new generation of innovative solutions for early childhood in Brazil.

#HACK STATION ACCELERATOR- DATA FOR SOCIAL IMPACT
Data science plays a key role in the development of innovative technological solutions, that generate positive transformations for society in a scalable way. Facebook invited us to take the Artemisia acceleration methodology into Hack Station - the first Facebook innovation center in the world to include startup acceleration. We identify and strengthen impact startups that use data intelligence for improvements in our society.

#PERIPHERAL SOCIAL IMPACT BUSINESS ACCELERATOR
Over 90% of the social impact businesses selected by accelerators, incubators and funds are companies controlled by white men who have completed higher level education; entrepreneurs who were born into a privileged social context. A new generation of impact businesses will only be effective if the underprivileged population plays a leading role in creating solutions to their social problems, not just participate as consumers. To support business from underprivileged areas, A Banca, in partnership with Artemisia and FGV Cenn, have created the Peripheral Social Impact Business Accelerator

#SOCIAL IMPACT THESIS ON FINANCIAL SERVICES
The lack of financial education and services suitable to the needs of the low-income population are obstacles to real financial inclusion. We believe social impact businesses can contribute to change this scenario. With the support of Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs and MetLife Foundation, we created the Social Impact Thesis on Financial Services - study that explores the challenges to financial inclusion and identifies opportunities for those who want to create a social impact business in this theme.

#HEALTH AND WELL-BEING LAB
70% of Brazilians depend exclusively on the Unified Health System (SUS), Brazil’s public healthcare system. Unfortunately, the system has several shortcomings that affect prevention and health promotion for low-income citizens. In order to leverage innovative health solutions aimed at this part of the population, we have worked in partnership with the Sabin Institute since 2014 to boost the impact of business focused on this issue. Among the initiatives: support in accelerating business impact, holding sectoral events with specialists and providing training of entrepreneurs in early stages.

# SOCIAL IMPACT THESIS IN FOOD SYSTEMS
Food is an essential sector that is linked to improvements in the quality of life and health of a population. New businesses can address the challenges of different food systems, and bring benefits to the most vulnerable people and the environment.
-
#SOCIAL IMPACT THESIS ON ENERGY
In order to bring quality energy to the entire population, it is necessary to make low-cost access available to those who do not have it, and to make it more efficient to use, thereby ensuring the preservation of the environment. Businesses can contribute to waste reduction and propose new ways of making access to clean and renewable energy and conscious consumption possible. We joined Eletropaulo and AES Tietê (both energy companies), and have created the Social Impact Thesis in Energy that brings together the main challenges faced by low income families related to the theme, and points out eight opportunities for the development of impact businesses that address these challenges in a scalable way.

#SOCIAL IMPACT BUSINESS CHALLENGE: FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND FINANCIAL SERVICES FOR ALL
Almost 40% of the Brazilian population still does not have a bank account. 3 out of 4 families experience some difficulty getting to the end of the month on their income. The low level of financial education, and the scarcity of financial services that meet the needs of this public contribute to their vulnerability. To empower a new generation of businesses that promote financial inclusion, we have joined forces with CAIXA bank to create the " Social Impact Business Challenge: Financial Education and Financial Services for All".
-
#LAB MOBILITY AND INNOVATION
Mobility is one of the most urgent guidelines for improving the lives of Brazilians, as it relates to the right to come and go, autonomy, access and quality of life. When we look at the reality of Brazil, the difficulties with respect to access mainly affect the low-income population. That is why we have joined the Ford Fund with the goal of strengthening a new generation of social impact business with innovative mobility solutions through two initiatives: the Social Impact Thesis on Mobility and the short-term acceleration program Ford Fund Lab: Innovation and Mobility.

#PUBLIC HEALTH CHALLENGES
Long lines, delays in customer service and scheduling of exams, problems in the access to medicines, lack of monitoring of high-risk groups and lack of systems integration. These are some of the challenges that we face nowadays in the Brazilian public health system. In this context, we believe social impact businesses can complement, improve, and facilitate the access to public healthcare services. In order to support entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to these challenges, we created, along with Sabin Institute, the Artemisia Lab: Public Health Challenges.
-
#HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
70% of the Brazilian population depends exclusively on the Public Health System (known as Sistema Único de Saúde, or SUS, in Brazil). #AMAZON CHALLENGE: BUSINESS FOR THE FOREST
The Amazon is experiencing a great paradox. On the one hand, it is home to 55% of tropical forests and 20% of the world's freshwater waters. On the other hand, it suffers from the current predominant business models in the region, which generate devastation and inequality. In order to foster the true vocation of the Amazon and support the forest economy, we join Natura to drive entrepreneurs in the region with solutions aligned with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

"We created Choice because we believe that social impact business is an idea that deserved to be spread to universities all over the country."

-
#DESAFIO AMAZÔNIA: THE BOAT CHALLENGE
Empreendedores, um navio e um desafio: gerar impacto social na região Amazônica.
